Trading is not Investing

Well as you can clearly see by having a look at my posts, I have tried for over a year to become successful in trading the markets. I have set up my challenge, chose a good provider with good trading software, paid money in and started with good thoughts, good hope and knowledge of the markets. I was even lucky enough to choose the right stocks in the beginning and it was a brilliant run up from 2000€ (The 10.000 % Challenge: Getting started) to around 15.000 € (The 10.000 % Challenge: Week 46 ). And then you can see what happened. A wrong decision here and there and all (not all 😉 ) the money was smoked through the roof. Badabing badaboom! It had more to do with gambling in hindsight. So I will give up the challenge for now. I am still trading, but I guess I cannot make it to 200k very fast.

Investments on the other hand (that is when you buy and hold) did just fine throughout the market. People will always consume goods and services. So when you provide these to them, you are rewarded by doing nothing and only holding a stock.

Stay tuned, I will go back to writing articles again.
