It doesn’t make sense to invest in private companies with low amounts of money. On the other side large amounts of investments need much more care than simply reading this blog. With private companies shares are not so easy to get rid of if “shit hits the fan” (=company in trouble). Simply, the reason is that there is no stock market. The way of trading shares need to be happening over-the counter (OTC) then. If you are not a well-connected business man, this could be difficult. So for now I recommend focusing on the stock and bond market. And when you choose your market, focus on markets, where trading happens a lot. NYSE, NASDAQ, FTSE, DAX, NIKKEI, ASX, EUROSTOXX is not a wrong choice. Just remember how Markets work and what’s going on there.
